Music | Control by Chase & Status Ft. Slaves

It’s not their plan, and apparently they don’t particularly fancy being “that man”.   It’s London: it’s February 24th 2016: Chase & Status have teamed up with Slaves to release the biggest single of the year so far: ‘Control‘.

Premièred via Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last night, (February 23rd) ‘Control’ – the first official taste of Chase & Status’ fourth studio album – is released today via Virgin EMI.

Vocals and guitar featured on ‘Control’ come from punk-rock duo, Slaves. Consisting of Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman, the Kent double-act have found serious fame in the last couple of years – performing at almost every festival under the sun as well as putting out a Mercury Prize nominated debut LP, Are You Satisfied?

Getting this forceful punk band on-board is a bold move by Chase & Status, one of the biggest names in the British music game. Their fourth (currently-untitled) record follows their latest studio release, Brand New Machine, which wound its way to securing the number two spot in the official UK album charts, as well as fan-favourite No More Idols and debut LP More Than Alot.
