Music | Whisper by Crows

If you were lucky enough to catch Slaves on their May 2015 tour, then you might’ve already been acquainted with their mysteriously eerie support act, Crows. If you’re yet to meet the London four-piece however, prepare yourself for total heavy submersion into their world – thanks to the lead track from their forthcoming Unwelcome Light EP – ‘Whisper’.

Drawing comparisons to the Joy Division-esk early gothic-wave sound, Crows are a messy onslaughter of guitar, raucous vocals and deafening bass. Honing their talents for many years on the underground scene, the Unwelcome Light EP’s first taster ‘Whisper’ combines these defining elements with pure euphoric power – making the track an overflowing smorgasbord of sounds.

The release of ‘Whisper’, which was debuted on Beats1, leads the release of Crows’ debut EP, Unwelcome Light, which is available to get your hands on come March 25th via Telharmonium Records. You can pre-order the EP now, and receive an instant download of ‘Whisper’, which is available to stream below.

Be wary of these underdogs: the Crows are poised and prepared to takeover 2016.
