A couple of Manchester’s most iconic venues in the Northern Quarter district are preparing to open their doors to a brand-new one-day festival this April – dubbed When In Manchester.
In the heart of Northern Quarter – a popular district of Manchester, hosting some of the best live venues, eateries, bars clubs and pubs in the city – lies the two venues where When In Manchester, curated by four women on a quest to lighten-up and celebrate Manchester’s new music scene, will be held: Gullivers and The Castle Hotel.
On Saturday April 16th, head down to Gullivers, NQ to see the likes of: This Feeling favourites, Hello Operator, Lunar and one of Manchester’s most-promising bands, Man Made, taking up centre stage and delivering (what are sure to be) scintillating performances. The Gullivers stage of When In Manchester is set to be headlined by none other than Cupids, a band already gaining a garangutan reputation throughout Manchester.
If you fancy a bit of a change of scenery throughout the day however, the second When In Manchester stage is situated within The Castle Hotel, NQ. The lineup includes: Kashmere and Palm Honey, while the headline spot is being filled by hotly-tipped-for-success four-piece, No Hot Ashes. The Stockport band will headline The Castle Hotel stage, bringing When In Manchester to an almighty close.
Proceeding the When In Manchester event, a launch-party has been organised at another Northern Quarter venue, the brilliant Night & Day Café, where London’s Sisteray will headline – joined by Carl J North as well as The Marquettes. Tickets for this show, scheduled for Saturday February 20th, are available here via Skiddle.com.
