Fighting back at critics who told her, her pregnancy could have a “detrimental effect” on her career, is Birmingham soul singer-songwriter Monique‘s title-track from her forthcoming EP, ‘The Gift’.
Stating in the track, which was co-produced by 5AM’s Tony Bean and the promising producer Daniel Hutchinson, that she’d previously “lost her way” and found herself questioning “her worth”; Monique’s raspy, character-infused single, ‘The Gift’, leaves no doubts where her budding talent is concerned.
Inspired by her unborn son, who’s due-date is excitingly creeping ever closer, Monique’s passionate track radiates adoration as well as acting as a beacon of light for young career-driven mothers to look up to. Monique is a fighting role model for women and an artist demanding intense celebration.
The new single from Monique, ‘The Gift’ proceeds her EP of the same name, which is set to be released on May 5th.
